Together or Solo

You're welcome to bring a partner, friend, or loved one along for support if you'd like. Many find it helpful to have someone special by their side. But if you prefer to attend on your own, that's absolutely perfect too.

These courses work beautifully either way, and you'll receive the same dedicated care and attention regardless of how you choose to join us.

Meet Steph

Hello, I’m Steph, mum to five children, with ages ranging from 25 down to 3. I became a mum at 18 and had my youngest just before I turned 40, so I’ve experienced parenthood from every angle. Each of my pregnancies and births has been completely different, and that’s exactly why I’m so passionate about helping other parents feel informed, confident, and supported.

After my last baby, I knew I wanted to do more, especially for first-time parents. I’d seen first-hand how stretched the NHS can be, and how little time there is for midwives (who are doing an incredible job) to guide parents through all their choices. I remember sitting in a waiting room, in advanced labour, with other women in pain and frightened because they didn’t know what was happening or what to do. I knew how to get through those moments because I’d learned the tools, but I couldn’t stop thinking… what if everyone had that knowledge?

For me, antenatal education isn’t just about knowing your Plan A, it’s about having a Plan B, C, and D too. When you feel in control and know your options, even if birth doesn’t go exactly to plan, you can still have a positive experience.

I love covering the practical side of things too like how to bath a baby, change a nappy, prepare for sleep deprivation, navigate changing relationships, and look after your mental health as new parents. It might sound simple, but if you’ve never done it before, it can feel daunting.

I hold a CertHE in Perinatal Education and Practice from the University of Worcester, I’m an NCT Practitioner, and I’m currently training as a hypnobirthing teacher with Love Your Birth (accredited by FEDANT). In September, I’ll be starting my breastfeeding support training with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.

To Maternity & Beyond is my way of walking alongside you in this exciting, sometimes overwhelming journey. Whatever your circumstances, I’m here to help you feel calm, informed, and ready to step into parenthood with confidence.

Course Format

My courses are designed with flexibility and comfort in mind ideal from 30 weeks onwards.

Depending on your needs and circumstances, sessions may be held in person either in a cosy, welcoming local venue or online, allowing you to join from the comfort of your own home.

Each course is led by me personally, and my aim is to create an inclusive, empowering atmosphere where you can learn, relax, and feel confident as you prepare for your baby’s arrival.

Area of Operation

I’m based in the lovely villages of Grove and Wantage in Oxfordshire, and I’m proud to support families within a 15-mile radius of this beautiful area.

Whether you’re nestled in one of the nearby villages or just outside town, I’m here to provide accessible, personalised antenatal and feeding support close to home.
